At 3:00 PM  on August 17, 2021, the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Tourism and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Agency, coordinated an online session on confidence-building measures. for the tourism industry in the CICA region.

Online meeting with the participation of tourism businesses, tourism associations, state management agencies from 27 CICA member countries with the aim of promoting tourism cooperation among CICA member countries, building developing a destination promotion plan in CICA.

Opening the meeting, Mr. Hon. Tharaka Balasooriya - Minister of Regional Cooperation of Srilanka gave the opening speech and suggested the upcoming policies to attract international tourists after the Covid-19 pandemic. Next was the introduction of the representative of the Sri Lankan tourism promotion agency, the representative of the international tourism organization (inbound) of Sri Lanka, the representative of small and medium enterprises, etc. about the general policies and facilities. materials, policies to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic to be ready to welcome international guests when reopening, etc.
